Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how JobShrink handles information when you use the site. JobShrink is a satire and informational job-posting roast tool. It is designed for job-description text, not resumes or sensitive personal documents.
Short Version
Paste only job-description text you are comfortable processing through an AI tool. The default roast flow sends the pasted text to an AI model provider to generate output. JobShrink does not ask for your resume, does not create an account for you, and does not publish your pasted job description by default. If ads are enabled, advertising partners such as Google may use cookies and similar technologies.
1. Information JobShrink Collects Or Processes
Job description text
The text you paste so JobShrink can generate a roast. You should not paste resumes, private messages, personal records, passwords, government IDs, or sensitive personal information.
Acknowledgement records
The required checkbox status and similar safety-gate information needed to generate the requested output and enforce the Terms.
Technical data
Basic request metadata such as IP address, browser information, device information, timestamps, pages viewed, referring URLs, and error logs may be processed by hosting, security, analytics, or advertising providers.
Contact data
If you email JobShrink, the email address and message contents you provide will be processed to respond to your request.
2. Information JobShrink Does Not Ask For
JobShrink does not ask for your resume, cover letter, salary expectations, Social Security number, payment card, bank information, medical information, precise location, employer login, or job-application credentials. If you paste that kind of information into the job-description box anyway, it may be processed as part of your submission.
3. How Information Is Used
- Generate the roast report you request.
- Validate safety rules, blocked terms, and required acknowledgements.
- Operate, debug, secure, and improve the site.
- Prevent spam, abuse, scraping, security attacks, and policy violations.
- Respond to emails or privacy requests.
- Measure site performance and understand general site usage.
- Display, measure, and protect advertising if ads are enabled.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Use.
4. AI Model Processing
The current roast flow may send the pasted job-description text and related prompt instructions to a third-party AI model provider so the model can generate a structured roast report. That processing is necessary for the service to work.
Do not paste confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information unless you have the right to submit it and are comfortable with AI processing. JobShrink does not intentionally use submitted job descriptions to identify you, evaluate you, or contact employers.
5. Cookies And Similar Technologies
JobShrink and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember basic preferences, measure traffic, protect against abuse, and support advertising.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features or advertising behavior.
6. Advertising And Google AdSense
JobShrink may display ads, including ads served by Google AdSense if approved. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's visits to this site and other sites, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with advertising policies.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to JobShrink and other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. 7. Analytics And Hosting Providers
JobShrink may use hosting, logging, analytics, security, and performance providers, including Vercel or similar infrastructure providers. These providers may process technical data such as IP address, device information, browser information, URLs, timestamps, and error logs to deliver and protect the site.
8. Sharing Of Information
JobShrink does not sell your pasted job descriptions. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the site, AI model providers that generate requested output, advertising partners if ads are enabled, analytics or security providers, legal authorities when required by law, or parties involved in a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
9. Retention
The default roast flow is designed to generate fresh output from each submission and not publish the full pasted job description by default. Technical logs, security logs, analytics records, contact emails, and acknowledgement records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the site, enforce the Terms, prevent abuse, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
10. Your Choices
- Do not paste sensitive personal information into the job-description box.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
- Use Google Ads Settings to manage personalized advertising preferences.
- Use industry opt-out tools where available, such as aboutads.info or your regional privacy controls.
- Email developer@octoslice.com for privacy questions or deletion requests involving information you directly provided.
11. State And Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about certain personal data, or to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising. To make a privacy request, email developer@octoslice.com. JobShrink may need enough information to verify and process the request.
12. Children
JobShrink is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. JobShrink does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Security
JobShrink uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the site. No internet service is perfectly secure. Do not submit information that you would not want processed by an online AI tool.
14. International Use
JobShrink is operated from the United States. If you use the site from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where service providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws than your location.
15. Changes To This Policy
JobShrink may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies to later use.
