JobShrink is a job-posting roast machine for people who have read one too many "fast-paced, cross-functional, other duties as assigned" job descriptions and would like a little comic relief before giving a posting their afternoon.

What JobShrink Does

Paste a job description and JobShrink uses AI to produce a satire-first report: a full written roast, a Couch Score, quick highlight roasts, corporate-speak translations, Red Flag Bingo, and questions to ask before applying.

The goal is simple: make job postings easier to read, easier to question, and less spiritually expensive. It is a comedic decoder, not a compensation product, job board, resume evaluator, employment agency, or professional advisory service.

Satire first

JobShrink is a comedy and commentary tool. It turns job-posting language into a roast, a plain-English translation, and practical questions to ask before applying.

Grounded in the posting

The roast is based on the text you paste. The default flow does not inspect your resume, interview performance, work history, certifications, salary expectations, or personal circumstances.

No market verdicts

JobShrink does not joke about pay and does not claim a role is underpaid, fairly paid, illegal, discriminatory, or below market in the default roast flow.

Jokes about text, not people

The target is corporate fog, vague scope, tool lists, catch-all duties, and strange posting language. The target is not recruiters, hiring managers, applicants, employees, or named individuals.

How The AI Works

The current roast flow sends the pasted job-description text to an AI model provider so the model can generate a structured roast report in JobShrink's fixed spiciest-safe house voice. The model is instructed to maximize comedic impact while using only the pasted posting, avoiding outside salary data, avoiding legal accusations, and keeping the comedy directed at the posting text.

The default roast flow does not call outside salary APIs, labor-market sources, occupation databases, resume tools, or employer systems.

The app validates the structured response before display. If generated content references missing support or includes blocked legal or accusatory language, the unsafe card is removed or replaced with safer copy.

Safety Rules

  • No professional advice. JobShrink is not legal, financial, HR, employment, compensation, recruiting, or career advice.
  • No employer accusations. The app is designed to avoid claims of fraud, illegality, discrimination, wage theft, or bad faith.
  • No personal evaluation. JobShrink does not assess whether you are qualified for a role or what you personally should be paid.
  • No resume processing. The app is built for job descriptions, not resumes or sensitive personal documents.
  • No public posting by default. The default roast flow does not create public share pages from pasted job descriptions.

Advertising

JobShrink may display advertising, including Google AdSense, if approved. Ads help keep the tool available. Advertisements are not endorsements by JobShrink, and JobShrink does not control every ad that a third-party ad network may show.

The site is designed to keep ads separate from app controls and editorial content. We do not ask users to click ads, and we do not label ads in a way that makes them look like navigation or app features.
